The United Korea Foundation is an independent non-profit created to advance educational and cultural community-service programs. We support Korean community organizations, leadership training, scholarships, and research grants — sharing Korean culture across America while nurturing talented individuals who give back.
Recognized as a tax-exempt organization, the Foundation channels its resources toward students and scholars who show a genuine commitment to serving the community. Since 1976, that commitment has guided every award we make, every seminar we host, and every publication we produce.
Our scholarships are open to students who are U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or citizens of the Republic of Korea — from undergraduates building their foundation to graduate researchers and community-project leaders.
Awards of $500 to $5,000 for Korean and Korean-American students in college or graduate school who show a definite willingness to serve their community.
Pamphlets and newsletters that build understanding of daily life in American community and society — bridging two cultures through the written word.
Periodic seminars on self-image, ethnic pride, career planning, and leadership — plus support for Korean community and cultural programs nationwide.
